Programme Curriculum

It is an interesting time to be a pharmacist. Individual competence and professionalism are required more than ever, in all sectors and at all levels of practice. The healthcare environment continues to challenge established roles and ways of working, to offer opportunities to exploit technologies and to develop new roles, methods and systems. It is a world of disruption, automation, convergence, and emerging challenges to health. Knowledge and skills must be rapidly adaptive and dynamic, especially abilities of effective communication, data generation, critical analysis and decision making.

The Master in Pharmacy Practice programme was the first of its kind to be offered at a Malaysian private university. The four main streams are Clinical Pharmacy, Social and Administrative Pharmacy, Pharmacy Management and Clinical Research. Stream-based modules facilitate your professional development and help you to gain advanced knowledge and skillsets. You undertake modules with specific learning outcomes that meet the requirements of the stream you have chosen.

The Programme uses a combination of face-to-face and online interactive sessions, a blended delivery that can personalise education and combines the accessibility of online learning with social and instructional interaction. The online learning platform enables access to Programme content anytime, from anywhere with an internet connection. Blended delivery provides the flexibility to combine work with graduate. Weekend face-to-face scheduling helps working pharmacists plan their time.
