IMU School of Pharmacy Boosts Student Experiential Learning Experience

International Medical University (IMU) once again turns the tide and contributes to further strengthening of experiential learning opportunities for IMU School of Pharmacy students. The university officially signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with AEON Wellness Pharmacy on 23 October 2017 and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) on 23 October 2017; Alpro Pharmacy, AM PM Pharmacy and Novugen Pharma on 10 November 2017. The AEON Wellness Pharmacy is represented by Tsunanori Sato, Assistant General Manager, Wellness Business; Elisha Teh Hwee Yee, Manager, Consultation and Melissa Lim Syok Hua, Assistant Manager, Consultation. The main purpose of this MOA is to place final year Bachelor of Pharmacy students for their 2 weeks community pharmacy attachment in AEON Wellness pharmacy outlets. CRM is represented by Dr Akhmal Yusof, CEO; Faridz Musa, Legal Executive and Syed Hamzah Syed Noordin, Business Development Executive. The main purpose of this MOU is to strengthen the clinical research expertise in IMU and to seek the opportunities for our Bachelor of Pharmacy student attachments and Master of Pharmacy Practice students to carry out the clinical research. Alpro Pharmacy is represented by Wong Siew Piin, Pharmacist and Operation Director; Chong Pay Yi, Training and Development Manager and Lim En Ni, Chief Pharmacist. The main purpose of this MOU is to place final year Bachelor of Pharmacy students for their 2 weeks community pharmacy attachment in Alpro pharmacy outlets. AM PM Pharmacy is represented by Lim Kean Ping, Head of the Department of Business Optimisation; Hiew Kai Ming, Assistant Manager of Marketing Department; Eileen Sim, Pharmacist in-charge of training,  Ong Kai Xin, Pharmacist in-charge of Pharmacy Practice and  Kong Len Wei, Pharmacist in-charge of Pharmacy Practice. The main purpose of this MOU is to place final year Bachelor of Pharmacy students for their 2 weeks community pharmacy attachment in AM PM Pharmacy outlets. Novugen Pharma is represented by Tiew Sign Haun, Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs; Ravi Kiran Allada, R&D Manager (Analytical) and Khoo Phooi Wah, Human Resources Manager. The main purpose of this MOU is to place Bachelor of Science (Hons) Pharmaceutical Chemistry for their 4 months industry attachment in various departments and Bachelor of Pharmacy students with Semester 7 research projects collaborations in Novugen Pharma. We strongly believe that our expanded collaborations with industries would of mutual benefit to all the stakeholders involved, as follows:
